the girl’s name is Kim Phúc, and she’s actually in her mid-fifties now. she travels around speaking to burn survivors about her experiences and i was actually lucky enough to meet her a few years ago at a toronto burn survivor’s conference, and she’s one of the most amazing, wonderful people i’ve ever met
